COMMUNITY ACTIVITY Hosts a Tongan/English radio program every Friday night at 8.00pm-12midnight on 3WBC (Whitehorse Boroondara Community Radio 94.1FM). VISION FOR THE CHURCH Through our baptism we are made members of the Body of Christ, and called to share Christ's mission to the world. When we meet in worship we acknowledge our need of God's forgiveness and guidance, and listen for God's Word and are nurtured in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Then we are sent out into the world with the message of reconciliation, justice, peace and love. I believe that the Kingdom of God is much bigger than the Church. The Uniting is an ecumenical church in its own identity. We are living in a global village and therefore need to care for one another, and for our fragile environment and God's creation. We need to realise that Australia is becoming a very multi-cultural and multi-faith community. This is the context of our existence and the proclamation of the gospel and living it out in our Mission and our relationships in communities. I have a vision of a church that is active in biblically based worship in varieties of ways and styles, engaging with the community in social, environmental and justice issues, and living out our Christian faith in a developing and informing way.
