Pilgrim Uniting Church (PUC) is a warm, friendly, welcoming community
of people coming just as they are and without obligation.
Visitors are most welcome. There are no strangers here, only friends you haven't met before! Since 1998 over 80 people have joined our faith community. Some have moved
here from other areas, some have rediscovered faith in a vital new experience
with God, others have connected with God for the first time and been baptised
into the Christian Family. It is our joy to see Pilgrim growing into a Regional
Church which people travel to from Carlton, Kew, Donvale, Blackburn and
Research because they find their spiritual needs met here. Our
history goes back to the late fifties. Strategic Plan 2006-2008 The plan was approved by the Pilgrim Church council in December 2005. A summary of the plan may be seen by clicking here and a complete copy may be obtained by contacting the church office. Link to The Grove Uniting Church, Box Hill North The small congregation at The Grove Uniting Church, Box Hill North had been without a Minister since 1st September 2002. Some of our leaders met with representatives from the UCA Presbytery of Bourke on Friday 14th February 2003 to assist in strategic thinking about the shape of their future. After careful consideration by both Church Councils and Congregational Meetings, this led very happily, to form a linked congregation relationship. click for details of this relationship. Covenant with our neighbouring Catholic Church - St Gregory's (click for details) Partnership with Woomelang UC Congregation in the Mallee region (click for details) Sunday Morning Worship (with refreshments in between) provides a 'mainstream' style with variety - music, drama, dance, puppets, clowning, choir, silence & preaching - all get a look in!
